To stay on top of what people say about your company, or what is being said about your competitors, configure a Google alert at https:// and add the RSS feed to your Hipchat room! Does not post all the items from the RSS feed into a Hipchat room. Room members have to explicitly remember to go and check the room.
That completely defeats the purpose of a chat room.
Seems to work well now that HCPUB-2332 has been resolved.
I'd like to be able to set it to only pass through certain keywords and to not pass through repetitive, similar messages.
Facebook does not display all posts by the people you follow or by your friends.
For example, asking users to vote using reactions or comment, tag, share, or otherwise engage with the post.
Pages and businesses who use these “engagement bait” tactics can expect to see a significant drop in their reach.
-- , 14 February 2007 (UTC) The links to the old Local page on meta: Local should now be changed to mw: Manual: Local Settings.php, and as the page is protected. - Foxhill , 25 February 2007 (UTC) Just what is the old Local page about? I modified the Media Wiki: Side Bar as written in the guide but nothing changes!!!
This is part of Facebook's monetization model, and is one of the reasons that Facebook tends to make more money per user than Twitter.
Facebook’s News Feed algorithm is in a constant state of flux.
--Ravuni , 13 September Can I add a new link to the User Links in my own wiki? It's not possible to customise the toolbox through a message at this time; items in this list are generated based on the page context, so it's not too reliable to slurp random links in. greets Moonlight , 18 October 2007 (UTC) Since a few days my own wiki is completely lowercase.
Black Rose , 25 February 2007 (UTC) The text says "edit (may be view source if anonymous editing is enabled, the page is in the Media Wiki namespace or the page is protected)" Shouldn't it be "...anonymous editing is disabled..."? robchurch | talk , 1 September 2007 (UTC) Hi, I'm changing the style of my wiki, but somehow the feeds(rss, Atom) are messed up in my toolbox File: and i don't know why... that means the navigation on the left and the navigation on the top is no more the way it used to be. the search does not differentiate between Foo Bar, Foobar and foobar. As a matter of interest, should you choose to defend the ease of navigation around Media Wiki, I would challenge you to find the answer to my question in less than ten searches without prior knowledge of where it is located.
This has the advantage that really controversial things get "damped out", instead of becoming permanent firestorms, like on Twitter.
